AUSTRALIAN TERRIER APPEARANCE
The Australian Terrier dog is a stocky dog with short legs, weighing around 14 pounds (6.5 kilograms) and measuring about 9.8 inches (25 centimeters). It has a shaggy double coat of medium length that is not clipped. The fur is shorter on the muzzle, lower legs, and feet and has a ruffle around the neck.
Coat colors are blue, silver, and tan, with a lighter-colored crest and markings on the face, ears, body, and legs. Traditionally, the tail was docked to protect the dog from spinal injuries while working and hunting in the fields.
